Currently, I serve on the Museum Services Advisory Board, a governor-appointed board for the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, and as Western Regional Representative for the Association of Academic Museums & Galleries (AAMG) Board. I have served on committees for Iron County and Cedar City, UT, and I presented at the National Association of Counties Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, the Utah Museums Association in Salt Lake City and Brigham City, UT, AAMG conferences in Seattle, WA (2014) and Logan, UT (2022), as well as the Oklahoma Museum Educators seminar in Norman, OK.
In 2020, I had the privilege of being featured in a public art piece that celebrates the impact of Utah women—past and present—in commemoration of the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Commissioned by Zions Bank, artists Jann Haworth, known for creating The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band” album cover and the “SLC Pepper” mural, and Alex Johnstone created a colorful cast of more than 250 figures from throughout Utah's history.

Community on the Go, 2018
In 2019, I participated in the Change Leader program through the Utah Division of Arts & Museums in Moab, UT. Participants attend a three-day immersive institute with instruction on assessing environments and the communication and facilitation skills necessary to implement change. Following the institute, Change Leaders practice these skills by completing a certification project. These certified Change Leaders form a network of leaders that share a common language, mentor each other, and convene through leadership circles and conferences.
Still connected to the arts in Oklahoma, in 2019 and 2021, I have been a grant reviewer for the Oklahoma Arts Council, which included applications from both performing and visual arts organizations across Oklahoma.
My efforts for bringing campus and community together at Southern Utah Museum of Art were recognized through the Community Engaged Exemplar Award in 2019. This award recognizes a staff member that shows leadership in advancing community engagement as a critical component within their higher education institution; forms innovative campus and community partnerships; and engages, models, or influences students to be involved in community service. While working in Oklahoma, I received the Forty Under 40 Award in 2016. The Forty Under 40 award program honors exceptional individuals who have made a significant contribution to shaping the Oklahoma City landscape. Through redefining and improving business practices, advancing education and raising the bar for civic and artistic endeavors, Forty Under 40 honorees positively impact the greater Oklahoma City area.
